Mum: "See that man over there? I think he's a Pilot."
T: "Really?" [confused]
Mum: "Yes, I think that's what he said."
T: "OH.... I've been thinking he was a PIRATE!" [clasps one hand to her eye]
And so ended the more lucid part of the afternoon's conversation.
